Waterproof Fly Box Review

The new boat style fly box from Andy Thornal’s is a hit! Perfectly suited for warm water or saltwater use this box offers heavy-duty construction and a multitude of design attributes that makes it stand out from all others.

Waterproof Fly Box

At first glance you will notice this double-sided fly box has clear lids. The clear lids allow an angler to quickly identify which fly they want to use without having to open the box. Each lid has an extra thick O-ring style gasket system and heavy-duty latches to keep flies bone dry against the harshest of conditions. The overall size of the box is well proportioned. It is large enough to carry more than enough flies (approximately 100 fly patterns, 50 per side), yet small enough to fit in most commercially available boat bags.

The interior of the box is well thought out. The box uses a micro slit foam format, which enables an angler to keep their flies secure and in perfect order. The foam is laid out in symmetric rows, keeping things nice and neat. They have deep cutouts forward of the foam rows, so your weed guard will remain straight and un-fouled while held in storage.

Overall this box is heavy-duty, durable, waterproof, and made to keep flies in prefect order, protecting them from anything Mother Nature can conjure.
