Tandem that converts to solo. This is a good kayak in either configuration. Front seat slides back into the center of gravity for a nice ride. Foot pedals can be moved to tracks in the middle position. Very Stable.

Observations from the sales floor: Often a Tandem boat is purchased because there is an enthusiastic paddler that wants to introduce kayaking to a less experienced paddler or even to a child. Over time the less experienced paddler either: loves it and wants their own boat or they don’t participate very often. This kayak paddles well as a solo boat, as well as a tandem. This is very unusual! Usually a tandem is too wide in the center, or too unwieldy to load on the car – not this boat. It functions well as a solo! We highly recommend the Pamlico 135T from Wilderness Systems.
