The Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock Fly Reel has one of the most reliable drag systems of all time-the offset disc.  The BBS Reel holds a tremendous amount of backing in a compact design. The small profile of the BBS I is ideally matched to smaller line weight and shorter rods. Because it is milled from a solid bar stock of aluminum, it is about 20% lighter than the original Battenkill reel.  Easily exchanged from left hand retrieve to right hand retrieve.
